I've been thinking a lot about what it means to be successful. Does success come from material object? If success were to come from material objects would it mean that we would only place values and things that are temporal? And what does it mean to place value in one's life? Success in America is measured by how much money you make essentially, and what achievements you have procured. To many people that is not necessary ideal, but the American dream is why a lot of us come chasing our dreams here, especially in regards to immigrants. I grew up as a first generation American and a lot of immigrants come here thinking that we can make something more of ourselves from scratch. Success is measured in different lengths to people, but for me, success is measured in education.
